Job Purpose Director of Assessment and Student Performance is responsible for the alignment, implementation, and analysis of the District’s assessment program and oversight of student performance records. Responsibilities include using the district’s student data systems to measure student performance over time and provide school board and staff with data analysis and interpretation. The Director works collaboratively with all stakeholders and communicates effectively with stakeholders regarding successful use of data.
Duties and Responsibilities-Office of Assessment and Performance · Align department goals and work with the District’s vision and strategic plan. · Ensure compliance and accountability-reporting for 90-Day NMDash, Ed Plan, and Strategic Planning. · Provide Training to administrators and educational staff in following: ü Rostering ü Validation of data ü Interpretation of data · Provide assessment services to the schools and school staff. · Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the District’s vision. · Oversees the District’s assessment program, which implements the monitoring system for student achievement, perception data, program data, and demographic data. · Utilizes the District’s student data system to measure student performance over time to inform educational decision making. · Advises staff and school board on NMPED Assessment, Research, Evaluation, and Accountability policy related to student achievement and assessment. · Stays current with state and national trends and issues in student achievement and assessment as it relates to all student demographic groups. · Responsible for program review and evaluation to ensure that programs align with the District’s vision and achievement goals. Elementary SEL Coach-reports to site administrator · Consultation with Teachers and Administrators · Works directly with students and teachers facilitating SEL Curriculum · Support Wellness room staff · Provide staff development, coaching and feedback around issues of academic and social-emotional learning · Provide strategies and resources to promote positive classroom academic and social/emotional/behavioral performance · Responds to individualized SEL student need in general education as directed
Gifted Program · Set up referral process · Provide information to parents on individual gifted education plans, procedural safeguards, and consent procedures. · Plan meetings to inform educators on gifted procedural safeguards and procedures · Gifted parent meetings as required
Qualifications
· Must hold a valid NMPED license as administrator, school instructor, PRE K-12 School Psychologist
· Master’s degree or higher
· Demonstrates cooperativeness and willingness to carry-out assigned tasks and performance responsibility
· Other qualifications as determined necessary by the Board of Education
Working Conditions
Work is normally performed in an interior/office setting, with given activities requiring outside management of activities for limited and extended periods of time.
Term of Employment
210 days / 8 hours daily. Work schedule to be established by the Board of Education on an annual basis, through the recommendation of the Superintendent.
